Sexuality is hugely complex, particularly when it comes to our sexual and erotic orientation. Society has a very heavy influence in how it constructs our sexuality and how we feel about ourselves as sexual beings. Looking only at biology, we are genetically programmed to be far more bisexual in nature. Kinsey's scale of sexual orientation runs from a 0 (aka, "hopelessly heterosexual") to a 6 (aka, "hopelessly homosexual"). A person with true bisexual orientation would be a Kinsey 3. That said, only 10% of the population is either a Kinsey 0 or 6. The rest of us are between a 1 and 5, thus somewhat to fully bisexual in orientation...

Electronic Intimacy, as I define it, consists of using electronic technology to meet, mate and/or maintain connections online. Our entire existence, including our intimate lives, has been transformed by the Internet. Thus, we are witness to the marriage of electronic technology and intimacy. The question becomes whether this union is for better or worse.
